Onshore Wind

 Since the first wind farm in the UK was built at Delabole in 1991, onshore wind energy has established itself as a mature, clean energy generating technology.

Although the UK does not have a large scale turbine manufacturer, onshore wind generation worldwide utilises UK expertise and technology. The UK is a leader in wind turbine design, project management, certification, high-performance materials, training and in the manufacture of specialist components, such as control and condition monitoring systems.
