We are a business-focused organisation that promotes and supports research into, and development and exploitation of, technology and innovation for the benefit of UK business.

 

One of our focus areas is energy generation and supply. Through open competitions we invest in collaborative R&D projects made up of consortia of businesses.

 

As well as helping businesses be more successful we aim make the UK’s energy supply more secure by maximising the recovery of UK natural fuel resources and developing a portfolio of low-carbon energy technologies which will also reduce environmental impact.

 

Later this year we will be launching a knowledge transfer network for energy generation and supply which will aim to bring together diverse organisations and businesses to share knowledge, forge partnerships and stimulate innovation.
