The largest annual petroleum exhibition in Asia and one of the top-4 in the world, the 9th China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (cippe2009), opens in Beijing at the New China International Exhibition Center on 19 March 2009. CIPPE 2009 is the largest in its nine-year history, expanding about 30% in exhibition area from 2008 to 60,000 square meters.

Nearly 1100 exhibitors come from 37 countries and regions, including 12 national pavilions from US, Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Russia, Kazakhstan，Japan and South Korea.

During the three-day show, the international exhibitors turnout up more than 50%, including GAZPROM, TOTAL, SIEMENS, DRESSER, TYCO, HONEYWELL, E+H, HOWDEN, AEG, CROSBY, ZF, ATOS, Converteam, Samsung, TOSHIBA MITSUBISHI, PHOENIX, GEXPRO, DELTA GREENTECH, HEMPEL, JOTUN and so on. Cippe2009 also attracted numerous domestic enterprises, such as CNOOC, BAOSHAN IRON&STEEL, BOMCO,BOHAI EQUIPMENT, BPMC, LIAOHE PETROLEUM EQUIPMENT, LIAOHE OILFIELD TIANYI, SHENGLI OILFIELD HIGHLAND, RG, HNGHUA GROUP,JINAN DIESEL ENGINE etc. In addition, the products showcased at the exhibition combined high technology with quality, including offshore petroleum equipment, petroleum and petrochemical pump, valve, compressor, pipeline, auto-instrument and electric explosion-proof equipments etc.

With 216 square meters exhibit space, Total brought its global energy business introduction to the show, including exploration and production, gas and electrical power, refining, sales and chemicals, new energy, etc. Gazprom, which is the world’s largest gas company, took 180 square meters exhibit space and showcased its latest exploration, exploitation, storage and transportation technologies at the show. As one of the largest petroleum companies in China, CNOOC took 156 square meters exhibit space at the show and its upstream industry and integrated downstream industrial chain attracted most of the attention. Moreover, Chinese renowned companies such as Baoji Oilfield Machinery and Shanghai Baosteel Group took large exhibit space at the show as well. They brought the show their latest and advanced technologies and products, which were the new highlights of cippe2009.

The 3-day show attracts more than 30,000 professional visitors and key-buyers from 45 countries and regions. Furthermore, over 160 medias both at home and abroad from 37 countries and regions reported the show on site, including CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, Reuters, Dow Jones Financial News agency, Wall Street Journal, Al-Jazeera, UPSTREAM, magazine -Petroleum & Equipment, network - www.cippe.net, China Petroleum News, etc.

Several forums also run concurrently at the same venue. Among these are: Forum on Crises Management & Sustainable Development of China Petroleum & Petrochemical Equipment Manufacturing Industry, API Quality & Monogram Certification program / API Individual Certification Program forum, FPSO China 2009 etc.
