About GEO 2010
Since it’s inception in 1994, the GEO series has played a significant role in the development
and transfer of exploration and development technology in the Middle East.
GEO 2010 will feature an outstanding exhibition of hardware and services coupled with a
comprehensive technical conference programme which ensures a valuable exchange of knowledge among
managing, operating and supplying companies.
Attended as it is by almost every oil producing state in the region, GEO provides a vital
platform where peers can learn about and share technology and best practices to be used in
resolving the unique challenges of managing and exploiting the most significant hydrocarbon
reserves in the world.
The exhibition attracts high profile participation from leading oil and gas companies,
including all six Gulf Cooperation Council national oil companies - Abu Dhabi National Oil Company
(ADNOC), Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), Petroleum
Development Oman (PDO), Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) and Qatar Petroleum (QP) – and
international oil companies.
Visitor delegations from each of these companies attend the highly regarded conference and
come to evaluate the technology on display. Their active support also involves showcase stands at
the show; participation on the conference committee, ensuring that the programme maintains its
excellent technical focus with special relevance to the Middle East and presentation of papers
within the conference programme itself.
The Association of British Offshore Industries (ABOI) will be taking a group of UK businesses to GEO 2010 with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) support via the Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP). For more information follow the link to the UKTI website.
