Electricity Transmission & Distribution, Inward Mission

Monday, 25 January, 2010 - Friday, 29 January, 2010

Location: London UK

World demand for electricity is set to rise markedly over the next two decades.

Global electricity generation is forecast by the US Dept of Energy to rise from 16.4 billion KWh in 2004 to 30 billion KWh by 2030. Much of this growth is projected for nations outside the OECD. The International Energy Agency has projected that between 2006-2030 the cumulative investment in the global energy supply infrastructure will be $22 trillion of which just over 50% of all investment needs will be in the electricity infrastructure. That is a financial investment of some $11trillion.

UKTI are organising a unique multi-country inward mission involving transmission & distribution companies from a number of countries with identified high growth potential for UK firms.

Invited countries include:

  • Brazil
  • China
  • Indonesia
  • Philippines
  • Poland
  • Russia
  • Saudi Arabia
  • South Africa
  • South Korea
  • Turkey
  • United Arab Emirates
  • United States of America
  • Vietnam

More details of the mission are available in the flyer, see Related Content.
