
Rt Hon. Brian Wilson is a former Labour MP who held five Ministerial posts between 1997 and his retirement from politics in 2005.
He had spells as both UK Trade Minister and UK Energy Minister. Latterly, he acted as Prime Minister's Special Representative on Overseas Trade. Since leaving Parliament, Brian has taken up a number of private sector roles including a non-executive directorship of Amec Nuclear. He is also a Visiting Professor of Government and Media at Glasgow Caledonian University, chairman of Harris Tweed Hebrides and a director Celtic Football Club. A journalist by profession, he continues to write extensively on both politics and energy issues. Brian now lives with his family on the Isle of Lewis.
