About UK Energy Excellence

UK Energy Excellence is a cross industry, cross government initiative led by UK Trade & Investment and senior members of the Energy Industry in the UK who have formed a board of directors to deliver the objectives of UK Energy Excellence:   An International Marketing Strategy for the UK's Energy Business. The key objective is to develop a brand and marketing campaign for the UK Energy Sector that will improve global recognition of the UK's excellence in energy at home and overseas.

The strategy was developed and launched in December 2007 by UK Trade & Investment in consultation with UK businesses, stakeholders and Government department and agencies.  Together we are working to ultimately achieve the aim of increased international sales by UK businesses and an increased flow to the UK of high value inward investment.

A high level implementation board, titled the UK Energy Excellence Board, is guiding the development of this recommendation and the overall strategy and will continue to work closely with the wide network of energy stakeholders to represent the wide ranging business of Energy.

The UK Energy Brand and the UK Energy Excellence Website are steps towards this objective and the UK Energy Excellence Brand has been promoted internationally by UKTI and partner organisations at International Trade Conferences and Exhibitions around the world.

The foundation for the strategy is the UK Trade & Investment strategy Prosperity in a Changing World. A synopsis of UKTI's services can be found at Springboard for Global Growth.
